Care Guide

Every Taloreni piece is made differently, so the most reliable care instructions are always the ones attached to your specific garment. Before you wash, spot-clean, or store anything, check the sewn-in care label and any tag included with your order. The guidance below covers common situations across our collections—knitwear sets, printed dresses, and embellished evening gowns—but it does not replace the manufacturer's instructions for your particular item.

Finding Your Garment's Care Instructions

Look for a fabric care label sewn into the interior side seam or neckline area. If the label is missing or illegible, check the product page description where you purchased the item. When neither source gives clear direction, contact us before attempting any cleaning method.

Everyday Wear and Handling

Most pieces in our collections use soft knits, stretch meshes, or structured wovens with surface finishes that can be affected by friction and sharp edges.

  • Slip garments on and off gently, especially near embellished areas, to avoid pulling threads or loosening beads.
  • Keep jewelry, bags with rough hardware, and pet claws away from delicate surfaces such as ruched bodices, beaded panels, and ribbed trims.
  • Limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can affect printed colors and lustrous fabric finishes over time.

If Something Spills

Act quickly but conservatively. Blot—do not rub—the affected area with a clean, absorbent cloth to lift excess liquid. Avoid applying household cleaners, solvents, or hot water unless your care label specifically permits them. If the stain persists, the fabric type is unclear, or the spill landed on an embellished or printed section, stop and seek professional advice rather than experimenting further.

Caring for Decorative Details

Several of our designs include dimensional appliqués, hand-finished beading, metallic hardware accents, or gathered ruching. These elements require extra attention:

  • Do not press, iron, or steam directly over beaded or appliquéd areas.
  • When folding a garment with a cape drape or cascading panel, lay the embellished section flat to prevent creasing or catching.
  • Check that concealed zippers are fully closed before storing or packing a gown to reduce snag risk on adjacent fabric.

Storing Your Pieces

Knitwear and stretch fabrics can lose shape if hung for long periods. Fold these items and store them on a shelf or in a breathable garment bag. Structured woven gowns and dresses with defined silhouettes benefit from padded hangers to support the shoulder line. In all cases, keep stored garments away from damp areas, direct heat, and items with rough surfaces that could snag the fabric.

When to Seek Professional Cleaning

If your care label indicates dry cleaning, or if a garment has extensive beading, layered mesh, or a delicate print that you are unsure how to treat, take it to a reputable cleaner experienced with formalwear and embellished fabrics. Point out the specific areas of concern when you drop off the item.
